Recent collaborators with Handcrafted Films, Uptown Biodiesel, scooped last nights UK Green Business of the Year award at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane.
The Green Business Awards celebrate excellence in green practice, strategy and products. They seek out and scrutinize the most innovative, ambitious and effective initiatives by UK business for achieving environmental sustainability, and implementing smart business practice. Uptown won the Products & Services category.
Collecting the award, Nigel Jewison of Uptown said “We are proud to be recognised for this achievement but the thanks should really go to all of our customers and those that have continually supported our work.”
Uptown’s Chief Exec Jason Askey-Wood said that they “could not have achieved this without the support of Pricewaterhouse Coopers and London black taxis, both big biodiesel users, as well as used oil recyclers such as Youngs, Corney & Barrow and Novus Leisure.”
