For the past five years Tim has been working as a producer, sound recordist and editor in the documentary field, producing films for a wide range of international charities and government agencies.

His work has taken him to many difficult and challenging locations, whether filming semi nomadic tribal communities in the rainforests of Borneo, refugees in safe houses on the Thai-Burma border, climbing volcanoes and glaciers in Iceland or following civil rights campaigners through war torn Liberia and the Congo.

He is creating an extensive sound archive from the places he has worked, follow the link to listen to some of these recordings.

As well as filmmaking his photography has been exhibited at the Royal Geographical Society and with the BBC. A keen writer usually documenting the view from behind the location mixer and microphone (as well as more formal articles) you can read some of his behind the scenes observations and articles on this website.

As well as an in depth knowledge of sound recording, camera operation and production management Tim also has extensive experience in post-production having used Final Cut Pro, Compressor and DVD Studio Pro for many years.
